Flat River Outreach Ministries or FROM was a project right up the road from Impact Church. They reached out to Risepointe for owner representation services as well as helping them with some design opportunities at their facility. FROM is a Non-Profit Ministry that is heavily rooted in the community in Lowell and offers tons of services. Some of their service offerings are short term housing, food distribution, medical care, legal care, counseling and clothing. Risepointe was asked to image what it would take to convert a portion of their building into short-term housing. We developed unit layouts for several different occupant configurations - studio, 1 bed, 2 bed, and 3 bed. We needed to come up with unit layouts that could efficiently and quickly convert their existing building into these layouts, and also make the units feel like home to its temporary residence.
