Council Bluffs, IA
The people at First Christian sought to maximize their current facility to its greatest extent with this new interior renovation of their facility. The newly renovated facility creates a new experience for worship on Sunday and offers a secure kids wing tailored to the next generation of kids and students of Council Bluffs. Our team was inspired by the robustness of the existing building and sought to play off the rough shell by balancing the interior design with soft shapes. Forms and curvilinear design themes.

Renovation of gym to modern and relevant, dedicated worship area with dedicated tech areas and baptismal. Reconfiguration of kids rooms to be all in one, secure area. Single-point of check-in and dedicated kids restrooms. Light renovation of main lobby and new interior signage package to help create better flow.

OPPORTUNITIES
Given some of the constraints with working on an existing interior space, namely the hard surfaces of the existing structure and the low ceilings - we chose to play with lighting and ceilings to add some balance to the existing architecture.
